Mayssoun Azzam is a knowledgeable and performance-driven News Anchor, Current Affairs Program Anchor and Interviewer for over 20 years at Alarabiya with a total of 30 years in the media industry. She is recognized as one of the most prominent media figures in the Arab world with a high professional media expert reputation, qualifying her to work as a Media Instructor at the American University of Dubai (AUD), a member of the College of Media & Mass Communication Advisory Board at the American University in the Emirates (AUE).

Azzam is a humanitarian activist playing a vital role in promoting several UN and other organizations' campaigns. She won the "Atwar Bahjat International Freedom Award" in 2024 and the "Best TV Anchor Use of Social Media for Social Affairs" at the Jordan 7th World Social Media Forum. The Ziad Oudah Awards also selected Azzam as the "Best Media Influencer on Humanitarian Issues" in Dubai. She was lately also honoured by the RNVDO Organization, operating in the Northern Iraqi Governorate of Nineveh, as "Representative of Nineveh Voluntary for IDPs" in 2019.

Azzam is active, social, and determined to make a difference through her persistence in standing on the right side of history.

Growing up in a private educational system, Palestine was rarely discussed, leading to gaps in my understanding of what was happening. As an adult, I've sought to explore this overlooked history, uncovering a vibrant past filled with cultural richness.

Over time, I've gained insights into the enduring traditions and connections tied to elements like olive trees, reminiscent of the significance of date palms in my Gulf heritage.

Exploring the histories of Palestinian cities revealed diverse narratives of trade, innovation, and cultural exchange. From the citrus groves of Yaffa to the ancient churches of Jerusalem, each corner holds a unique story waiting to be shared.

Their heritage is evident as they immerse themselves in the language, showcasing exceptional skills as poets and storytellers. I learned this in fragments over the years, as there was no singular source to reach out to in order to learn more.
